College Parties Do's And Dont's

By now I’m sure you’ve seen a few different party flyers floating around on social media since the semester has started. In my last post I mentioned how going out with friends can be a way to prevent stress, but keep in mind that a great night can turn into a not so good one, really quick. Below I have compiled a short list of things to keep in mind when partying.

1. Never Ever Drink and Drive

Find a DD, or take a cab or an Uber, or even walk. Do anything except drink and drive because this is never a good decision nor is it ever worth it.

2. Know Your Limit

If you do decide to drink, know when to stop. Being sloppy drunk is NOT okay, and it is dangerous. Never sit your drink down unattended. Also, above anything, understand that you don’t have to be under the influence to enjoy yourself.

3. Party With People You Know and Trust

I say this because sometimes people don’t have your best interest at heart and could leave you in a sticky situation where you end up ALONE somewhere. Going out with people you trust can be less problematic at the end of the night.

4. Don’t Leave With Strangers

At the end of the day you can do what you want but leaving parties with a stranger might not be the best idea. This is something to be cautious of especially if you are under the influence because this could end in a situation where they try to take advantage of you, and you don’t want that.
