I’m sure by now most of y’all have heard about BET’s New Edition Biopic that’s scheduled to premiere in 2017. What you may not know is that my fave, Luke James, will be starring in it as Johnny Gill! I absolutely love Luke James and everything about him; maybe after this post y’all will appreciate him as much as I do.

Luke James is a singer/songwriter who embodies that smooth organic soulfulness [that appears to be lacking in today's mainstream R&B music, in my opinion]. He released his first single in 2011 titled “I Want You” which earned him a nomination for Best New Performance at the 2011 Soul Train awards. From there he began to co-write for mainstream pop artists like Chris Brown, Brittney Spears, and Justin Bieber. James even appeared as a model/actress in Beyoncé “Run the World (Girls)” music video.

I’ve been a fan of James ever since I heard his single “Strawberry Vapors” in 2012. If you’re not familiar with Luke James, then now is the time to get hip!

Below are a few links to some of his best records and music videos.
